Canon 7D added to my family
A HUGE thank you to Axel Busch! Follow his adventure here: Sailing Adventure.
I have a new member of my camera family. A Canon 7D. Wow! When you get a new 'toy', you immediately begin to play with it. And let me tell you, there are a lot of (new) buttons to get to know!
A straight shot using Sigma 30mm fixed focus lens. Not bad image quality for a straight out-of-the-camera shot.
Same set-up but outside with post-production work.

The Corner Cafe in NYC
The origin of the word coffee or café in French led to our much loved small and informal places serving refreshments and food called cafes or cafés.

The German King's Forest: A Silhouette
At the foot of the German Alps of Bavaria is a German King's Linderhof Forest. It's a royal forest. A forest of mystery. A forest of possibilities. A magical forest for a photographer. The German Alps are also very special and magical, too.

A German King's Palm Tree
In the German Alps stands a German king's palm tree. King Ludwig II of Bavaria's Moorish Kiosk
was designed by the Berliner architect Karl von Diebitsch for the International Exhibition in Paris 1867. He had it installed at his palace Linderhof.

While at Foundation Beyeler in Basel
The Renzo Piano designed Foundation Beyeler building is a piece of architectural beauty. Water, a pond, plays a role in the design. There's something about water, isn't there.
A bit of a departure from black and white.

While at Art Basel 42
I was at Art Basel 42 from June 17 - 19 in Basel, Switzerland. I tell ya, walking around an art fair for two days can really make you tired.
Like any other European city, Basel has it's share of old buildings.
